What customers say?

“ We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon for four people upstairs. We ordered everything to share. I'll list our selections: artichokes, eggplant millefeuille, revolvonas with pork rinds, ham and squid croquettes, tempura cod, bravas with wasabi, and black rice with aioli. I can't single out or rule out any dishes because honestly, they were all really good. For dessert, we chose apple strudel and chocolate brownie, again a great choice, both delicious. The upstairs is small and crowded, but cozy, with spacious round tables, although a bit noisy. We were served by Pedro, the owner, who gave us excellent advice, and by a young waiter; both were very attentive and professional. I think I'll add it to my list of favorite restaurants; we'll definitely be back. ”

“ Incredible place fantastic quality food especially the Angus steaks and the tempura prawns. Beautiful rustic interior with wooden beams on the roof so pretty in a wonderful mountain setting. Very much recommended. ”

“ Impeccable restaurant. One of the most memorable dinners I can recall. Each dish is prepared with meticulous care and served separately. We started with the artichokes. We continued with a half portion of croquettes, both the baby squid and the blue cheese croquettes. Next, we had the original patatas bravas. To finish, we had the cod and zucchini tacos in tempura. We still had room for dessert and were delighted by the magnificent apple strudel. ”

“ We arrived during peak lunchtime and were served warmly and quickly. Good beer, a good menu, and good prices. The smoked sardines with garlic cream were exquisite, the patatas bravas with two sauces were delicious, and the squid was also excellent. For dessert, a wonderful apple strudel. Highly recommended. ”

“ A few months ago, I ended up at this place completely by chance. The truth is, my cousin and I were in a bit of a bind because, due to constant setbacks, we had nowhere to eat. We just watched the time go by. After searching in nearby towns, based on a recommendation from someone on the street and partly on chance, we started looking around this town, finally deciding to go here. To be honest, they were very helpful over the phone and calmed me down, as I was feeling rushed and worried they'd close the grill. Finally, we arrived at the restaurant, which, to be honest, was hard to find in town. We went in, and it was definitely different. The door was like a horse stable , seriously, it was quite original. We liked that detail. When we entered the restaurant, we were surprised because it was quite small; it has a great design, but it's very small. As soon as we saw they had wine, we knew it was a different kind of place and probably a bit pricey, but we were glad we stayed. The bathroom was quite good, both in terms of hygiene and size. We ordered several dishes: Iberian salad, fried pork belly, homemade croquettes, flan or pudding, and something like apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. For snacks, they served olives with peppers, which were honestly some of the best I've ever had, no kidding. Not just the size, but the flavor, the shine, the texture... I don't know, I'd never tasted anything like them, and I really like them. As for the dishes, the Iberian salad was very good, but we thought it was excessively expensive. It cost between €16.50 and €17. There was a section that said it was €11; in fact, I asked the waiter, but he said it was for delivery. We didn't understand, but that was that. The fried pork belly wasn't bad, to be honest, but it wasn't spectacular either. I've had better for the same price, or even less. If I remember correctly, it came to around €13. The homemade croquettes were good. I've tried others that I personally preferred, but these were good too. You could tell they were homemade, with a nice texture and a nutmeg aftertaste, I'd say. They were good. As for the desserts, the flan/pudding, to put it simply, wasn't bad, maybe a little sweeter than I'm used to, but it was fine. My cousin liked the other dessert, but I didn't as much. It's a matter of taste. The final bill was €67 and change. And I was honest, because they gave me a bill for €48 and I can't keep quiet, so I told them so they'd charge me the correct amount since the desserts weren't included. They thanked me, and along with the excellent, professional, and friendly service at all times, they won me over. The truth is, the service was very good throughout. You could tell they'd been there for many years, and it had a "family" feel; they put a lot of care and effort into the product they offer. It's true that, in my opinion, it's still expensive, but if you consider everything, it's completely reasonable. We're talking about a high-class establishment in a beautiful town in the Sierra de Madrid mountains, with exceptional quality and presentation, and very professional and dedicated staff. It's understandable. It's true that I know other establishments that, in my opinion, offer better quality/price/quantity, and are also very good, but I recognize that this one is different. We made a reservation since it tends to fill up and has a good reputation. I recommend making one to be on the safe side. If you have the chance to try it, knowing it's different, that you might spend a little more than you planned but you'll feel like you've done something "special" that day, this is the place for you. Highly recommended . ”

“ Amazing! A village house converted into a restaurant, very welcoming. A short menu but with dishes to please everyone, all very well prepared; Pedro is a fantastic cook and comes out to ask if you enjoyed your meal. And a young, attentive, and professional staff that wins over the diners. Our bill was a bit higher because we ordered wine and a glass of something extra, although they do offer house liqueurs. Three of us ate in the upstairs dining room and we will definitely be back. ”
